Have tried everything to get the card to work....but no go.
I run windows xp pro..on a gigabyte mother board with an AMD athlon 1 gig cpu.
my geforce 2 card works with no probs but when i installed the geforce 4 the screen either had pin strip lines running down it, or went completely black, or had thousands of colours and locked up.
Tried nvidia's web site for an updated driver but still it didn't work.
Even tried reformatting.
Anyone got any idea's please.......

Hi plroofing1. Does your new card work if you boot into "Safe Mode", or if you set the graphics card to "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)" (or whatever similar option you have in XP). If it doesn't, then I think your new card could be faulty.

Is it an AGP8X board?
