Gedcom download failure

I am trying to download a GEDCOM family tree from Ancestry.com but all I get is a list of names and no download to save.
I hope this makes sense.
Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

After downloading the Gedcom file you have to import it into another Genealogy program which will accept Gedcom files.
A good free one is the PAF (Personal Ancestral file) from the site of the Latter Day Saints.
Alternatively, I have a small file which will allow you to view a Gedcom file without having a proper program if you wish to e-mail me via the yellow envelope.

Me again, I think you are downloading an opened Gedcom file.
Have you tried right clicking the file and selecting "Save as".
You should finish up with a file ending in .GED which you can then import into another program

Only a few months late, but thanks for the info.
I am getting my files downloaded OK now.

A late reply is much better than none at all as it's nice to know that folk have been helped in some way.
Thanks for the reply and Good Luck with the Family Search.
