I use adware to scan my pc for spyware files.

There seems to be many gator files. Should i delete these?

Are these files needed?

Delete them; they are not needed.

I deleted mine, along with lots of others labelled as data miners. What data are they mining? What are they doing with it?

yes delete them.most if not all that adaware finds will be safe to delete.it creates a back up anyway that you can always restore if you need to.

i personally like spybot click here and run this aswell as adaware.when using spybot, clicking on anything it finds will give a description of what it is.once the item/s are removed, clicking immunize stops it getting back on again.
