Game Computer

We want to buy a powerful computer that can deal with heavy graphics files and multi task. The Dell XPS 710 Red is high end and is described as a game computer.

Is this description just a biproduct of its spec or is it designed as a game computer?

We will not be playing games on it so would we be better off with a different model?

Yes, Dont go for one with an ultra high end graphics card, if your not gaming, you wont need it.. go for one with either a core 2 duo E6600 or E6700 , or even a quad core if you can. And lots of RAM is a must if your working with large video files , 2Gb min 4Gb pref (if your using vista)

As for graphics..get something with either a Nvidia 7600 GS/GT or 7900 GS/GT.
