fujitsu siemens s7020 keyboard problem

The keys on my keyboard are not typing what they should be...!
For example the number 6 key also has & on it but types ^ when I use the shift and 6 keys.
The 7 key has multithings on it but types & when I use the shift and 7 keys.
Can anyone help me with this...?

& is the correct output for shift 7, and shift 6 should give you ^. There are no uppercase numbers so that is just how it is meant to be.

Also souuds like your keyboard has some imaginative printing on the keys...

I think that may be, because this laptop has a German keyboard layout - but may have been set to English in Control Panel>Regional and Languages.

My normal English keyboard shows ^ when pressing 6/Shift, and & with the 7/Shift - these are normal English settings.

Thanx Technotiger - got it from a car boot for the kids ..!
Is there any way I could get the keyboard changed - can this be done on a laptop..?
