PC has developed a problem. When I right click on mouse to carry out a function e.g. delete, my oc freezes and the only way out of it is by rebooting with on/off switch. No virus present Windows corruption? XP HOme

sfc /scannow

If you run sfc /scannow, you need to have the system disc to hand. Insert it and stop it auto running. Then start/run and type sfc /scannow, with a space after the sfc. This only apples to XP. In Windows 98 just type sfc, and leave out the scannow.
