Freeze at Boot-up

Occasionally my PC freezes when it is booting up. It does the POST check, then gets to 'Initializing PNP' and then just sits there.
If I press the reset button, it then usually boots OK.

Any ideas?

What PC and O/S are you running?

Go into SETUP when you start your computer and disable Plug an Play, Windows will handle it when it starts up

PS when you have disabled Plug and Play in cmos, widows will re-arrange hardware more than likely, it will reconfigure it

i have a Mesh PC and i sometimes get a message at boot up saying that boot drive is not present or something like that, i have found that unplugging and replugging the IDE cable into the hard drive sorts the problem out. weird but it works.
