Just wondering if anyone can help me out.
I have a Compaq Presario PC, purchased in 2001.
After installing a new hard drive a few months back, i started experiencing problems such as my mouse and monitor screen freezing!
When this happens, there is no alternative but to shut down via the CPU.
More often than not, when i re-boot i sometimes get a message displayed on the monitor indicating 'NO Signal Input'.
This requires me to shut down as many times as it takes before Windows XP finally boots.
Even then during starting up it can freeze....reqwiring shut down again.
I have 764 of RAM installed and also a 128 meg graphic card, which i installed thinking that this was causing the problem.
However, after noticing a slight improvement in stability, the problem still continues.
Any help with this will be gratefully received.

Sounds like a bad connection, having googled the problem
I assume the same thing applies to laptops and I also see that Compaq Presario's seem to be prone to it.

Have tried new monitor and various graphic cards, and still the problem prevails!
