I have a freecom portable 60g hard drive, (one of the blue ones with the fance blue light).

Does anybody know a way I can password protect the information on it so that nobody could just pick it up, plug it in and see all my data ?

Thanks for any advice.

click here for a commercial option.

Otherwise it depends on what the external hdd is used for: if backups, then create zip files / ghost files that are password protected.
