Freecom DVB-T USB stick

I can't get the TV card to work on my PC because it reports "signal too weak" (though TV engineer has tested aerial strength OK for Freeview reception). So I was interested to see Watford Electronics advertising this product which just has a small freestanding aerial. Can this possibly work? Anyone any experience or comment?

Lots of people have reported on the Freecom stick. General experience is 'except in very good signal areas the freestanding antenna won't work'. But they also report the stick to be as good as a STB Freeview receiver on reception. Have you actually checked your Freeview reception by entering your postcode click here

If your antenna is OK then maybe the Freecom stick or the antenna lead is faulty.

Thanks, dms05. I know my area is not too strong re digital reception, but I have another separate aerial feeding my TV which works OK. Seems therefore this little freestanding aerial won't be man enough for the job!
