Free view multi channels

I know this is a computer forum but...I am sure there are people out there who know the answers.
I have just purchased a free view for my tv, and notice that tv programs say hit the red button to view multi channels. When they show you this on tv there appears to be many channels, but when I hit the red button on my free view, all I get is 2 channels to choose from.
Is this normal?

Yes - these are the Freeview channels 701 and 702 used by the BBC. There is also a 703 channel but I cannot recall that being used recently. All the red button does is switch you to one or other of these channels. You cannot use this system in Freeview for interactive voting etc as you can on Sky and cable channels.
