Ihave been running free Superantivirus 4.47 no
problem. But when I installed Free 4.48 it keeps asking me to activate and provide a serial. Why ?

Sorry Guys I meant Free version 4.48 SuperAntispy.

Do you mean SuperAntiVirus or SuperAntiSpyware? Because the first may well be a rogue AV program. It's important to get these names right.

If SuperAntiSpyware then you have probably mistakenly downloaded the Pro version

SuperAntiSpyware is currently Version 4.48 - are you being confused with the "User Information & Registration Screen" where there is a part for "Product Registration (Optional)" and to input a Licence Code ? If not then as per Sea Urchin I think you may have the wrong download.

That screen would only come up on the original "setup" (install). I can't remember if a FREE licence code is provided in an email to activate - or maybe not.

It is Free Version of SuperAntispy 4.48 but after installing it asks me to activate.I have gone bac kto version 4.47.

I assume you know that Superantispyware (if that is indeed what you mean, and not SuperAntispy) is a malware scanner, not an anti virus software such as Avira, Avast or MS Security Essentials?
Please confirm the exact spelling, as Sea Urchin

There is no free licence for the free version of SuperAntiSpyware and no request to activate

Any feedback? Was it Superantispyware or SuperAntispy?

If it is SuperAntispyware, don't try and turn "Real Time Protection" on in Preferences. That is for the Pro (Paid for version) only
