Free and Easy Icon Extractor/Editor

I downloaded and tried a couple already from Snapfiles - IconMaker and IconArt. I couldn't figure out how to extract icons with the first, and the second one crashed when I tried. Irfan View is fine, but it only extracts the first icon AFAIK. Any other recommendations for Windows ME?

• Free

• Easy to use with a bare minimum of functions

• Not spyware, donationware, shareware, or bloatware

• Extract icons from EXE and DLL, Edit and Save 32-bit colour.

There are dozens if not hundreds of icon editors - there must be at least one that fits the bill.

I went through the same loop a while back!

I could *not* find a decent FREE icon manipulating package either - and I gave up.

So I shall be watching this thread as well.

Non-troppo came up trumps. Iconsushi seems to be just the job. click here It took me all of five minutes to download, install, and make my first icon. Early days yet, but it looks excellent.
