its obviously a con of some kind , maybe it isnt , if it isnt then the bit i dont understand is the "allow you credit" part , does that mean that i have to do something for them in order to get free broadband.

even though i've already got broadband it cant hurt to have a bit more :)

Looks somewhat iffy given that you have to pass on details of 3 friends. Sort of like a chain letter? If kosher all well and good however are BT not the company in charge of the airwaves and do they not levy charges to other companies for rental? If my understanding is correct then can't see how any company can offer 'free' when there are overheads to meet unless it's through heavy advertising i.e spam.
