I was trying to enter ? on a friends computer today by alt + 8540 and it didn't work, I got a fwd slash / instead?

Any reason for this? How do I fix it?

I got this result in MS Word, although I really wanted to enter the ? in MS Visual Foxpro - I should be able to do this?

I think that Templar1961 was trying to enter the fraction 3/8 but the code doesn't work in html. It works ok for me in Word.
