i want to completely wipe my harddrive could someone please tell me how to go about it.i beleave i need something like f/disc if i do need this could someone help me create one.xp home spi.thanks

Right click on my computer

choose manage

disk management

click on the disk and format it

Sorry, I misread... I thought you wanted to format the drive with the letter "h" - not the whole thing.

Diodorus Siiculus tried that won,t let me format.

what i,m trying to do is to wipe the hdd clean and start again.i have me recovery disc and xp home update disc the pc won,t accept the recovery disc.had this prob. before someone else sorted it out for me unfortunetly this person is not in the area now.but i do mind he had to scrub the hdd to get the recovery disc to take.thanks for all help.
