Formatting Hard Drive

I have an old hard drive which I am giving to someone else. Obviously I need to format it first. I have tried 'Kill Disk' but my keyboard won't respond when it loads (may have something to do with it being USB).

How else can I format the drive please? Thanks.

If it's connected in your machine, go to Admin Tools/Computer Management/Disc Management/Right click on the drive and select Format.

ArrGee your suggestion didn't work, I had the same problem with keyboard. I decided to use the Windows disk, formatted then stopped before Windows was loaded on again.
