Formatting Drive

I have 2 hard drives the second will not format compleetly as it used to have an OS on it. How do I completely wipe it please? The said drive is 'D' and my OS is on 'C'. Thanks.

Best way is to remove the partition if it had a OS on it. Right click My computer\Manage\Disc Managment

Make sure you remove the correct Partition, Then create a new one, In Win Explorer right click the drive Choose Format

Its not a partition it is a seperate hard drive.
