Hello all, I have a Hitachi 1.0 TB external hardrive connected to a USB port on my pc. I run the 64bit version of Windows 7. The drive only shows as 512Gb. If I try to reformat it the 512Gb is the only option available. How can I get the full 1.0 TB please?

Hi Sharpamat. Thanks for the information. Problem solved. For some reason the drive was partitioned into two equal parts, with one being unused. Thanks again.
