hi,my new laptop came with a small partition on drive c,it is a 120gb drive total ,the small partition is only 1.5 gb,and i think it only contains some stuff needed by "the teck guys",my question is, can i just format that partition, and if so will my "c" drive then show as the full 120gb,many thanks for any advice

Make Model Etc.
They are all different.
The partition is probably a recovery facility and should be left.
They are not put there for fun y'know.

Yep, you're probably better off leaving it alone. Although 1.5gb sounds a bit small for a full back up, it may contain stuff that's required to fix/restore the pc if you run into problems.
