Help how to do a format on just one drive.I am running Xp pro

If it is not the drive with the OS, then go into windows explorer and right click on the drive, then choose format.

If it is the drive with the OS then you will need to boot with a floppy / cd and do format C:\ (or whatever the drive letter is).

Do you want to explain a little more what you want to do?

As long as its not the C Drive then Right Click on My Computer choose Manage choose Disk Manager then Right Click on the drive you wish to format and the option is there. If you wish to format the drive XP is on so you can reinstall then boot with the windows XP cd and you will be given the option to format during the setup options.
