format drive with linux onboard

I need to format a drive to remove a copy of Redhat Linux so that Windows 98 can be loaded. Booting from a floppy and running fdisk to remove a non DOS partition fails because fdisk locks up every time it tries to access the drive. Any one have any ideas.

You need ether Acronis or Partition Magic and you can then just delet the partition
