I have just tryed to format my hardrive using windows 98 start up disk , and it will not let me.
I typed in c:/format c:/ and nothing happened.
Also setting up e-mail for a friend we got rid of msn but when we tryed to send any mail using onetel which we set up from there site msn blocked it . Any ideas,

Email problem - the email maybe to big so MSN block it.

C needs to be suffixed with a colon ( C: )

All you need is "format c" at the A:/ prompt.

I very rarely go to a floppy disc now...

I keep forgetting if there is a ">" or not.

In a couple of years time no one will even remember them :o)

The ">" is still there. It's generated automatically.

So i was right in the first place.

Yeah baby ;-)

Not quite. It needs the colon :o)

It should be A:\>format C:

And if you want to add System files it would be A:\>format C:/S
