FORM virus

After loading an old floppy in my A drive for reformatting, my McAfee security system told me, via a slide-in warning, that my A drive had been infected by "Form virus" which could not be cleaned.

Should I be concerned and how do I address this?

Virus scans revealed nothing and everything "seems" okay.

I'm trying the "avast!" link since the symantec appears to need me to have a symantec progam.

(Interesting that there's an option to read the "avast" page in Czech.)

I scanned the A drive and suspect discs with two different virus scans (plus my entire system for good measure). No trace of FORM was found. Avast turned up nothing too.

I think Mcafee cleaned it, for I have noticed that occasionally it will warn me of a file that cannot be cleaned/removed AFTER it has actually cleaned/removed it. This seems to be because it has removed the file but hasn't yet told itself that the file no longer exists (if you see what I mean) - i.e., it can't clean what it has deleted.

In the words of the onld rhyme:

"As I was scanning here and there,
I met a virus that wasn't there.
It wasn't there again today.
Oh, how I wish it would go away!"
