Force win xp to assign drive letter 2 usb stick

Is there a way to force win xp to assign a certain drive letter to a ysb memory stick? It currently tries to assign f: but as my laptop is used on a novell network & the f: drive is used by novell I need win xp to try to assign a diff drive letter to the usb memory stick.

Right click "My Computer" and select Manage, then go into Disk Management. In the right pane, right click your USB drive (either the description or the graphic) and select "Change drive letter and paths". You can then allocate a particular letter to the drive.
