Hi All,

Anyone know of an easy way to remove unwanted fonts? As I understand it the more fonts the slower the start up (does this apply to XP?)

Thanks

D.

Go to control panel - fonts - select and delete unwanted fonts there.

Patr100 is quite right, but be wary of deleting fonts required by the system and/or installed programs. It's much safer to drag and drop the fonts into another folder via Windows Explorer rather than delete them, until you are absolutely sure they're not needed.

Incidentally, system fonts required by Windows generally have the extension of .fon rather than .ttf, as a rule of thumb.

Thanks AndyJ,

I thought that might be the case....ie not just to delete them willy-nilly. Good idea to keep them in a separate folder.

Thanks,

D.
