Font Checker...

I have thousands of fonts archived. Occasionaly, I find that a file is corrupted. I wonder if there is a program available that will check all the fonts on the system - whether installed or not - to ensure that it is a valid TrueType font file before saving them to CD.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks
Whirligig.
