Folders in Reverse alphabetical view

  fruityfj 16:38 16 Oct 04

I can't think how I managed to do it, but I seem to have set all my folder views in reverse alphabetical order. This applies to all windows views in whatever view (icon, tile, list, details etc). Even when I'm say inserting a file in a document/email message/whatever they're all the wrong way round.

Anybody any ideas on how to correct this - it's a bloody nuisance

Click on the file name heading at the top of the column.

I use Windows 2000 so my advice is applicable to this but would presumably be similar in any XP product.

Open up any folder you want. Set this folder up in the way you wish to view every other folder (eg click on the 'name' tab to view it in alphabetical order)

Click on the 'Tools' menu at the top and select Folder options.

Click on the view tab.

Finally click on 'Like current folder' tab.

Every folder you open from now on should open in exactly the same way you set up the original folder.

Thanks both - VoG's right. Solved!
Thanks again
