Hello all - hope someone can help with this one...

I've got Win XP Prof edition and, for some reason, it won't let my apply a chosen folder view to all folders: the option button 'Apply to all folders' is always greyed out, so I have to do that tedious thing of selecting a new view (details) every time I visit a new folder. I had to reinstall Win XP the other week after disk problems, it didn't work before the reinstall and it's still not doing it. Any ideas why??

thanks in advance!

Mark

you are using explorer? with an explorer window open and being viewed as you like it you click on tools - options - view and click on all folders as current?

Wow!! How simple was that??? I'm sure I must have tried that before I did the option from the control panel.... but maybe not! It works, and I owe you a pint next time I bump into you, Howard. Thanks hoooogely!
