Folder Options Problem - Quite Strange

Hi. I seem to have a very strange problem:

I run a Windows ME computer with 256mb RAM and a 200gb hard drive.

On Sunday I suffered from a problem with a file that I was trying to install, and ever since then for some reason all my folders open in the same window (it was originally pre- configured to open folders in a new window).

To make matters worst, I have many tweaking and configuration files on my computer that have hidden the Folder Options and Control Panels menu. The vast number of these applications makes it almost impossible to open up folder options (difficulty in locating which tweaking program has hidden it), although I have been able to make Control Panel accessible.

Is there any way that I can change the folders to open in a different window without going through Folder Options e.g. through DOS?

As I said, even though I have Control Panel I am unable to access Folder Options through it nor am I able to use explorer.

Any help would be much appreciated.
