Hi All, Hope U can help. Recently I reverted back to ide cd rom & RW from a SCSI setup. After installing new drives, they were detected by windows ( XP Pro ). BUT after a disc was inserted mssg appeared "plz insert disc into * drive".
I did a system restore & all appeared to be OK. Then I tried to access floppy drive, I got same mssg, "plz insert disc into drive A". Device manager shows it OK. Whats wrong ?? plz Help

Email from Stacky, "Hi M8.
Yes floppy light is always on. As it is now lol thnx"

Post to the forum so all can benifit, if the light is always on then theres something wrong. Have you removed the FDD? if so a light always on is an indication that the drive has been fitted incorrectly. Look at the 34-pin ribbon cable. The red stripe should go to pin 1 on the
FDD.

Light always on = cable connector reversed.
