Floppy Drive

I am only able to read my A Drive in MSDOS and not in windows 98. When the computer starts i looks and can recognise that the disk is not a system disc proving it can read in dos but no disk can beread in windows

Hi Watts, there are loads of references to 'Floppy Drive' and 'DOS' if you use the search facility on this site for instance:

ps what operating system are you using?

Norton Anti-Virus can do this, especially older versions. The cure in this particular case is to disable the AV floppy disk checking on boot-up and shut-down.

Operating system is windows 98

Are you booting up with a floppy in the drive? If so you will get an error message. No Systen disk found or something similar.
