Floppy Disc Capacity

I want to transfer a file of 144mb to a floppy disc using W98. I have formatted the floppy and its capacity is given as 145mb. However when using the 'Send to' function a message appears saying the file is too big for the floppy and to use a greater capacity disc. Are there bigger capacity discs? How can I get it to transfer as the file in question is supposed to be readily transferable to floppy?

A floppy disk is actually 1.44MB - somewhat smaller than your file size!

Sorry, Clapton is God, my typing error - I meant 1.44MB file to a formatted disc of 1.45MB.

Many thanks, VoG - worked a treat!

Toshiba used to offer 2.88MB floppy disks but few systems had the means to use them.

I have a Program that Formats a Floppy so you can get a bit more on it.
