I have just bought an amacom flip2disk external hard drive which is supposed to be plug and play but it isn,t. My PC does not see it. Does anyone know if there is a driver I could download. I have tried emailing tech support but after their initial reply, which I answered, I have heard nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Was there any software that came with the drive? The drive will probably need formatting, most ext drives come with a cd with the drivers that need to be installed before plugging in the drive.

The software that came with it was a driver for Windows 98 and Back2Normal,a software recovery program.

My problem is solved. Like an idiot I plugged the drive into a hub instead of a usb on the computer. There is not enough power going into the hub to run the drive.
