Flashing hour glass

Hi, the hourglass on my laptop started flashing 2 days ago, i have run spybot, nothing shows, driving me mad, and i may be in the middle of something and autorun appears and then dissappears, any ideas?

The flashing hour-glass normally indicates that something is 'running', perhaps auto-updates taking place. You could try pressing Ctrl/Alt/Del to try and found out what is running.

Do you mean the processes? long list of stuff in there!

Not autorun but autoplay

No, I meant Applications - although you could look through the long list of Processes and see if any one item there is using a lot of the CPU, but ignore System Idle Processes near the bottom of the list, it is normal for that to be showing above 90%.
