Flash drive stopped being reccognised

I have 6 Gig Philips USB disk drive which up until a few days ago worked perfectly in my Vista Home Premium machine. The drive still works in several other XP machines so I know it works. In device manager it says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)" it can't find any fixes for this on line. Anyone know what to do?

Also when I open control panel I no longer get the icon view, only the list view and I can't seem to find a way to change this.

I did post this on the Vista forum a week ago and no one responded.

regards

James

Try USB Drive Cleanup from here; click here
(Remove all flash-drives first)

Works well with XP, no idea of the effects with Vista - create a system-restore point first just in case; click here
