AMD cpu?

Look at the bottom right of this page at, "processor and heat sink installation videos" It will also show you how to take the old one off, with commentary.

When downloaded, un-dock the player and run it full screen.

Did you fit an 1800 XP or a 1.8 Ghz AMD (ie 2400 or simalar)?

If an 1800 XP then probably right.

If an 1.8 Ghz AMD then you need to change the settings to run at correct speed.

I.8 XP I somehow expected it to be a bit faster, maybe expecting to much

An Athlon XP 1800+ (if that's your processor)should run at 1.53GHz.

Please clarify

Did you buy an

Athlon XP 1800+ (which runs a t 1.53 Ghz so this setting sstill isn't right)

or

a 1.8 Ghz Processor which will be called a AMD Athlon XP 2200+

???

Please check what you bought.

You need to
A] alter the fsb in the bios from 100 to 133 to get 1.53MHz for the XP1800+.
It is running at 11.5 x 100 =1150
should be
11.5 x 133 =1529

Or B] maybe you have a jumper on your motherboard to change cpu from 100 to 133

What motherboard do you have

I have changed processor to a athlon 2.4, this is showing as a 1800+ running at 1.49 the Motherboard is Elitegroup (ECS) not sure of model
seems to be running a bit faster any other help or suggestions welcome
