A long time ago I had a programme named "first aid for windows it was simple (like me) is there anything like it now which scans and tells you conflicts and the problems free.ANY HELP AND I WILL BE GRATEFUL thanks in advance.

First Aid was bought up by Network Associates (MacAfee), and, (I believe) killed off.

I've use System Mechanic click here (30-day free trial), without problems.

Generally, though, I don't rate these type of programs very highly, as they all too often find problems which aren't actually causing a problem, and worse, create problems where none existed before.

I would certainly NOT recommend them unless you have a real-life problem - and if you do, there may be a more specific fix, which the forum might help you find.
