Firewire card for pc

I have desktop Medion P54016 Pentium dual core and want to add a firewire connection for camcorder/video editing etc. Advice required on to which make/type/features/problems etc of firewire card do I need or should I contact Medion to get one from them ?

There's really not much to think about with Firewire cards. They are what they are. This would do the trick, if you're OK with opening the case and have a spare Firewire slot. This, being from a well known brand, wouldn't cost you much more.

MechKB: I'm nervous about those. In theory, they shouldn't work (and I've seen the occasional horror story) as Firewire and USB are two different technologies, and a simple cable doesn't allow for any conversion. But I may be being unduly negative...
