My OS is XP pro and my antivirus software is e innoculate. Does XP have a firewall that is automatically enabled? Does e innoculate have a firewall and is it also automatically enabled? Is there any point in enabling them both if applicable?

You cannot run to software firewals it cause a conflict.

Yes there is a built in firewall, you will find it in the properties of your dial up connection or on your nic if you are using a router on adsl.

hilly billy,
But if e innoculate has a firewall is there any point in enabling the one in XP pro? i.e. does e innoculate have a firewall?

Enable it anyway and if you have problems turn it off again. Never heard of e innoculate so have no idea if it has a firewall. I use AVG and Sygate with the XP firewall turned off.
