Firewall for Win98

Last week my TalkTalk broadband underwent an upgrade in the local exchange, following which I could get no access to the internet. It turned out to be my free McAfee firewall (originally loaded from a PCA disk)that was causing the problem, despite it having been working quite happily for the last nine months.

Could anybody suggest a (preferably free) firewall that can function with Windows 98? I used to use ZoneAlarm until they withdrew support for Win98.

Many thanks in anticipation.

If you dont mind using an old version that does not update, stick with the old version of ZA.

I think you will find that since Microsoft stopped support for 98 a lot of companies are going to follow suit. This will result in you using an old version till you update your windows.

No doubt there will be something out there for now,but not for long is my feeling.

Thank you all - I think I may well go back to using the old version of ZoneAlarm, until such time as I update my windows ops.
