Firewall using a router

I am still rather confused with firewalls. I have 2 computers networked and using broadband via a router.I am using ZoneAlarm on one Norton's on the other - do I include the router's IP address in the safe zone as well as the other PC's or does that let everything through as it comes via the router? Hope this isn't too stupid a question.

I looked this up today click here

I found that using 2 firewalls seemed to confuse the problem of confidence & the question of compatability was the main problem. I honestly think that it is not commonsense to mix one firewall with another on the same network
At the same time ZA Pro is easy to use & you do have to add all IP addresses that you wish to protect including the 2nd firewall IP

You shouldnt need a seperate firewall on each pc the router should be acting as the firewall. What model do you have?

The router is an Edimax BR-6104 Broadband Router.
