Firefox/Mozilla "leftover" files, safe to delete?

Having tried Mozilla and using a previous build of Firefox, in Documents and Settings>"my name">Application Data , I have folders left over from when I deleted these programs.

Is it safe to just delete them? I'm assuming it is, as the programs that created these folders are deleted.

I am using the latest version of Firefox, but the application data for this version is in a seperate folder.

Cheers, dagwoood.

Hi crx1600, how ya doin?

Thanks for the advice. I may do this if no other options are forthcoming.

I don't want to sound ungrateful for the input, it's just that I've read on a Firefox forum that there are known issues with regards to Firefox and Mozilla profiles data being placed in the same directory(a problem that's been created with the release of v0.9 of Firefox onwards).

The only problem was there was no advice in the thread on how to correct this known issue as the thread was only concerned with people who use both Mozilla and Firefox concurrently.

Thanks again, dagwoood.
