Firefox spell checking

I'm very grateful that Firefox has a spelling checker in it - so I use it.

However... One niggle...

Whatever I do, it's English as used by the Americans!

My Office suite is set for UK English, My regional settings are set for UK English.

Has anyone found a way of making Firefox use UK English?

Dump that one and try the Google desktop one
It seems FireFox only offers the American one, I least I have not found an alternative.

What I was worried about - no option.

Just that I'm in a retentive mood this morning while I watch paint dry (aka formatting 114G HDD on my new laptop. Still at it after about 45 mins and only 83% done!)

Firefox does have a British English dictionary. Look in the Add-ons under the Tools header.

Using the one I found at the mozilla link which was an add-in. working fine. I can now spell such things as 'colour'!

I've been using the English version for some time...:-)

You could choose which Language version was required from Tools; now it's from the Advanced tab>General tab.
