Firefox and scrolling

I'm trying the Firefox browser again, but to be honest I can't notice any difference to Internet Explorer - except one. Scrolling.

For instance, if I am writing a response and wish to check something in the thread, I can't scroll from the response area. I have to click above the response box and scroll from there.

Presumably using the mouse scroll wheel?

If you just grab the scroll handle it works.

Thanks, yes the mouse.

I've got the Auto Scrolling ticked in preferencies so that I just click the mouse wheel and I can scoll anywhere on the page, up, down and sideways then turn it off again by clicking the wheel again. I find that much quicker than using the scoll bars.

That feature should be provided already by your mouse driver - at least it is in the case of mine.

Sorry about that, left the page open, while I made a cuppa. Kids.

I find the same as Graham, but just clicking outside the response box allows you to scoll.
