  Mytob 15:38 12 Oct 06

Cant get firefox portable to work at collage for sum reason. All port 80 requests apart from ones on ie time out for some reason.

Anyone see anything in this that could be blocking it? Im getting real annoyed with the sub standard pile of rubbish called ie and want to use a real web browser! Any help on this is very much apreciated!

Do the computers use some sort of proxy system? I know of people at university and they use proxy and it means they are very limited in what they can do.

It will go to a main gateway. All port 80 requests are blocked. Iv tryed with ClamWin portable on my pendrive and has the same affect. Only port 80 seems affected as port 21 works on firefox and on the cmd prompt. There is also a censorship filter in place which i can get around if needed.
