Firefox lost passwords

I have switched on my PC this morning, and find that Firefox has "lost" all my passwords. A check in Tools/Options/Security shows a blank space. I've tried System Restore twice, with no success.
Any ideas, Please?? (WXP Pro)

Have you tried Tools.Options.Privacy.Exceptions.Make sure none of them are in there.I found PCA in there but it has allowed on it but worth checking.
Show cookies.I only have 2 in there.
And under security make sure remember passwords is ticked.

What about you.Can you type the passwords and get in Ok.
Also in Privacy. If you have clear history when Firefox closes ticked. In settings make sure you do not have saved passwords ticked.

Hi buteman.
I can reinstall passwords - those that I remember, otherwise making up new ones. I've checked under tools, etc. Does look like a "visitor"!!
