I have been using Firefox for about a year on a Compaq laptop. Version unknown. Recently it has been recovering from critical faults but was continuing to work. A couple of days ago I went to start Firefox to find that it was as at the screen asking you to register for the first time. I have done nothing on the machine since as I do not want to loose my favourites etc. How should I proceed? Chris.

Have never been asked to register for Firefox and I am using the latest version so just ignore it or go to Help.Troubleshooting information. Refresh Firefox and see if that fixes any problems.

Or delete it and download the latest version which is. 40.03

Likewise, have never needed to register and if you do upgrade, you will lose nothing. Are you sure you are being asked to register as I was not aware this was required.

I panicked when I saw the Firefox login page and thought it was to register. I have sorted things now. Thanks.

I am still intrigued as to a log in page. I have never seen one, has anyone else ?
