Firefox buggy

Hi, I am using the Firefox/Google browser homepage. Sometimes after trying to type the first letter of a word into the Google searchbox, the letter won't appear, so I try typing it again (let's say for argument's sake the letter "B"). Then Firefox says it needs my permission as system administrator to run. I allow it to run, only to see the two missing "B" "letters I had typed appear in the search box, but not just that, the Firefox icon on the Desktop is renamed to "Bb", the letters I had trouble with in the Google searchbox.

I am wondering why this is happening, and could it be a bug with my Firefox?
