Firefox bookmarks what's the difference between them?

Bookmarking a page with Firefox there is a choice between "Bookmarks Menu" and "Unsorted", I can't see any reason to put it in one rather than the other.

I know the bookmarks "Bar" means it will display all the time but ignoring that why should I choose between one of the other two?

Does this help Sorting bookmarks?

Basically, as far as I can work out, unsorted is the default and the menu allows better folder options etc.

Thanks Woolwell, that's a comprehensive list of options, I'll carry on using unsorted I think.
